UNDERGROUND SPEEDING STILLNESS

Tunnels built under cities allow fast-moving trains to transport commuters quickly from here to there and back again. This series of photographs captures moments when trains speed in or out of stations. In contrast, commuters are caught in moments of stillness as they wait for or leave the trains. In turn, the camera has the ability to "still" the movement of the trains. The photographs were taken in 2015 and 2016 in Montreal's Metro network, Québec, Canada.
